Why go? Getting away and breaking free from your daily routine can allow you to look at your life in a new way.  Stepping out of your shoes onto the beaches of Tulum for a week, you can’t help but breathe a little deeper.  When you then add the body-mind practices of qi gong, breathing, meditation, yoga, and examining your life through the lens of Chinese Medicine, you create the opportunity for profound insight, which often leads to profound change.  In this retreat,  you will have the opportunity to explore in a supportive group setting:

  • Various forms of qi gong: energy medicine routines for physical, emotional, and spiritual health which will serve as lifelong tools.
  • The basics of Chinese Medical bodymind energetics, (including yin/yang theory, the 5-phase model, and the 8 Extraordinary Vessels) and how they apply to your life now
  • The relationship between specific meridians and particular emotional, mental, or personal developmental challenges
  • The 5 Elements of Nature and your nature, your constitutional type
  • Listening deeply to your inner teacher
  • How to apply Chinese Medical theory to help break negative thought and behavioral patterns ingrained in the body-mind through non-invasive techniques such as acupressure
  • Simple yoga, meditation, visualization, and breathing techniques for relaxation, balance, strength, and flexibility
  • Chinese Medical theory of diet and lifestyle

You will be supported by a highly skilled practitioner/ teacher with over a decade’s experience in the healing arts and teaching workshops that participants frequently describe as “life-changing.” The ocean will be your constant companion, lending its healing negative ions and transformational presence  to your healing.  For an entire week, you will have no responsibilities to cook, clean, or even to put on shoes, freeing up energy for relaxation and transformation at the deepest possible level.
